Most countries are proud about their natural resources and they do as much as possible to protect them for the next generations. Beside protected area, they create botanical gardens to show these natural resources to their citizens, students, tourists, for scientific purpose, and to reproduce them. Therefore, I started the "CAMBODIAN ORCHID CONSERVATION PROJECT".

* Because of deforestation, whole ecosystems are also lost, including the orchids.

* Global warming is the second actor, and in the short future the main reason for disappearing orchids in      the wild. 2015 was too hot (El Niño) and the dry forest lost about 50 % of his orchids.

* Illegal trade found also his way in Cambodia, for local trade and export to China, Vietnam and Thailand.
